Following the remarkable success of the first two editions of the Val d'Isère – Vilgrain Congress — which brought together participants from over 30 nationalities — I am delighted to welcome you for the 2027 edition.

Our ambition remains unchanged: to offer a full immersion in the best of radiology through an intensive week of learning, exchange, and inspiration. The congress brings together internationally renowned European experts and covers all major radiological subspecialties, with a focus on practical, clinically relevant content.

Nearest airports: Geneva (GVA) – 3h, Lyon Saint-Exupéry (LYS) – 3h, Chambéry (CMF) – 2h. Transfer services available from all three.

By Car

From Lyon or Geneva, follow the motorway to Albertville, then N90 towards Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Val d'Isère.

By Train

Nearest station: Bourg-Saint-Maurice (35km). Regular shuttle services to Val d'Isère. TGV connections from Paris.

Everything you need to plan your trip to Val d’Isère

🏛️ Congress Venue

The congress takes place at the Centre des Congrès de Val d’Isère, a modern conference centre located in the heart of the resort. With state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, comfortable lecture halls, and ample networking space, the venue provides an optimal environment for learning and exchange.

Getting There

✈️ By Plane

Geneva (GVA) – approx. 3h by road
Lyon Saint-Exupéry (LYS) – approx. 3h
Chambéry (CMF) – approx. 2h

Transfer services and car rental available from all airports. We recommend booking transfers in advance during high season.

🚗 By Car

From Lyon or Geneva: take the motorway to Albertville, then follow the N90 towards Moûtiers, Bourg-Saint-Maurice, and Val d’Isère.

Free parking available in Val d’Isère. Snow chains or winter tyres recommended in March.

🚆 By Train

Nearest station: Bourg-Saint-Maurice (35 km from Val d’Isère).

Regular shuttle and bus services connect the station to Val d’Isère. Direct TGV services from Paris (approx. 5h) and other major French cities.

Accommodation

Val d’Isère offers a wide range of accommodation options, from luxury hotels to self-catered apartments. We recommend booking early as March is peak ski season.

Participants can combine the congress with skiing – Val d’Isère is one of the world’s most renowned ski resorts, part of the Espace Killy area with over 300 km of pistes. Wednesday afternoon is free for leisure activities.
